What does the Men’s Shed Do?

North Walsham Men’s Shed (NWMS) is our local branch of the UK Men’s Shed Association. Men’s Sheds are community spaces for men and women to connect, converse and create.

We work for the community in the community and the project helps individuals feel part of their local community. By becoming members they gain new friendships, pick up new skills and generally get to be involved in all the projects that we do.

The activities are often similar to those people would do in their own garden sheds, but for groups of people to enjoy activities and time together. They help reduce loneliness and isolation, but most importantly, they’re fun.

The activities include woodworking, sewing, gardening and more.
